In Ayurvedic medicine, there is a practice of drinking water the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach called “Usha Paana Chikitsa”.  This is thought to help cleanse the colon and purify the blood.  The body is better able to absorb nutrients after this process.  This is thought to help with a number of conditions including infertility. You should not consume alcoholic beverages the night before and you should not eat anything for one hour after drinking the water.  Sources on this recommend 5-6 glasses of water upon waking, however, I am hesitant to recommend this amount all at once since too much water too quickly can overload your kidneys.  I frequently did (and still do) drink a couple of glasses of water first thing in the morning.

1.    This treatment is one of a kind &must be done in early morning directly after you get up from the bed, even before brushing your teeth. An individual should drink 1.5 liters of water which is 5 to 6 standard glasses of water.
The most critical thing is don't eat or drink anything prior or after drinking this water.
You should also brush your teeth at night before going to bed.
You might find it hard to drink 1.5 liters of water at one time, yet ultimately you will get the habit. To begin with, you can drink 2 glasses of water.
2.   Try to use a copper mug to do this water treatment, the copper mugs & jugs are easily available in the market. For more benefit, you should leave the water in the copper mug overnight & drink that water in early morning.
Brush your teeth before going to bed & wash the copper mug before filling the water.
3.    Fill the water & put the covered jug beside your bed table.
Take the jug of water that you kept overnight drink it slowly as soon after you get up. You may take 15 to 30 seconds of break between the 2 glasses
