Pregnancy Over 40 Video

Pregnancy Over 40 Well Rounded Perspective

Here is a good video that shows some of the pros and cons of pregnancy over 40 and it features women who got pregnant unexpectedly over the age of 40 as well as some who underwent fertility procedures.

I like the video because it's not one sided. It shows real women and gives and objective view of pregnancy over 40.

Congratulations Kelly and John!! 47 and pregnant!

Picture: Star Magazine/popeater.com
Wow, to say I was surprised and elated when I heard about Kelly and John's pregnancy would be an understatement. First let me say that John Travolta has been one of my favorite celebrities since waaayyyy back. Just to give you an idea, I saw Saturday Night Fever at a drive in when I started college!!
I have followed his career ever since and I think he's very genuine. Kelly is a great actress too. I'm not as familiar with her work, but what I've seen has been great. I was heartbroken to hear about the death of their son Jett and I can't even imagine how a couple gets through that.

But now, some happy news! Kelly is 47 and pregnant. Of course, no details have been given about whether or not she conceived naturally, but that really doesn't matter. I wish them the best. They've had their share of heartbreak and they deserve all the happiness a new child will bring to them. Please send positive thoughts to them for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

That's why this home testing kit might be of interest to the man in your life. According to this article, it's accuracy rate is pretty high and the cost is quite low in comparison. Read more:

From the article:

He said the test helps couples find out if the male is a factor in the infertility "and to do that in privacy with some cost savings."

"The product will retail for about $25. That's a lot cheaper than going in and having a full semen analysis," Herr told Reuters Health.

Herr said depending on where people lived in the United States, it would cost anythint from $65 to $250 for a semen analysis which may or may not be covered by insurance.

In the journal Human Reproduction, Herr and his team report on a study comparing the accuracy of their SpermCheck Fertility test with standard laboratory sperm count methods, using 225 semen samples.

The tests were accurate 96 percent of the time, the researchers found.
